Yeah. Real shame about that. I had other commitments I had to attend to, unfortunately.

I'm sure I do. I hope things were resolving how you hoped.

Do you mind if I ask you a brief question or two in regards to the political and military structure of your country?

[parcour]

I don't mind. I'll see how much I can answer at least. What's on your mind.

How many sets of eyes within the United States are monitoring us, outside of your particular branch of the military?

[parcour]

That's hard to say, precisely. The Department of Defense is the one chiefly responsible for imPorts, though.

Was that an uncontested decision?

[parcour]

It seemed like the only viable option out there.

[lyingheart]

Hardly the same thing.

[parcour]

Suppose not. Yet it is what it is.

[lyingheart]

And is what it is something that people still agree is best handled by who holds the responsibility right now?

Another loaded question. Some people agree, some people won't. That's how it always is with government business.

I'm not surprised. I'm just wondering if the eyes watching us from this government are ones I need to be as concerned over as those watching us from any outside government.

It's very tiring, always being watched that way.

Well, I'm a biased voice on that front. I'll always tell you the same thing when it comes to who you need to be concerned over more.

Of course. I don't expect otherwise. You've been consistent in what you say, on these subjects.

One last question - about when the first group of imPorts were ported out. How did you get the ones who wouldn't agree at first to leave?

[parcour]

It wasn't easy. Those who wouldn't show up voluntarily we had to collect ourselves -- some of the more cooperative imPorts lent a hand with those boasting more dangerous powers.

I can imagine. Did any of them have children?

[parcour]

Some, but there wasn't no way to send civilians over. Just imPorts.

[lyingheart]

Then those children are still here. And anyone who was involved with imPorts who were native to this world.

Correct. But none of them particularly care to be bothered these days.

Any idea how they feel about us? Or about groups like the Hornets?

We're not in much contact with any of the families. Most are under military protection and prefer to stay out of current affairs like this.

You realize that contradicts itself. "We're not in much contact" while "most are under military protection." Not that I blame them for wanting to stay uninvolved... I can't imagine recent months have been smooth for them to endure.
